A little about me....

I’m Tree, a learning designer and trainer who enjoys turning complicated information into learning that actually makes sense. My approach is practical and people-focused: understand what learners need to do, strip away the noise, and shape the right solution around them.I work across digital learning, PowerPoint and classroom resources, always with the same goal: learning that works in the real world.I’m naturally curious, slightly obsessed with making things work better, and probably far too pleased when a complicated process finally clicks into place. That’s really what Root.Learn.Shape is about: creating learning that works for real people in the real world.

Concept icons

Digital Icon Design and Application

I create simple, consistent icon systems to support navigation, reinforce key concepts and make digital learning easier to scan. Each icon is designed to remain clear at small sizes, with variations developed to keep the visual language consistent across screens, interactions and feedback.I aim to make icons feel distinctive to the business while keeping them familiar and easy to recognise. The goal is a visual style that feels bespoke without sacrificing clarity.Each icon has a matching character who brings its purpose to life. They can be used alongside the icons in PowerPoint presentations and Reach 360 courses to add personality, highlight key information and help learners recognise different topics at a glance. Each character provides a consistent visual cue throughout the learning.Use the icons for simple navigation or quick-reference points, then introduce the characters when you want to explain, demonstrate or draw attention to something important.

Design variations

This short demo showcases an interactive phonetic alphabet game created in Articulate Storyline. Learners drag and drop images onto the corresponding letters while working against the clock. Immediate feedback, a scoring system and a “beat your score” challenge create an engaging way to reinforce knowledge through practice.

Interactive Process Development

I turn processes into interactive, gamified experiences that learners can explore step by step. By combining clear visuals, purposeful interactions, challenges, scoring and meaningful feedback, I make procedures easier to understand, practice and confidently apply on the job.I also create realistic mock accounts and system simulations, giving learners a safe environment to practise processes without accessing live systems or customer information. This allows them to explore, make mistakes and build confidence before applying their skills in real situations.

Blended Learning Design

I design blended learning journeys that combine self-managed digital learning in Rise and Storyline with complementary classroom resources. Learners build their knowledge independently through interactive content, then reinforce, practise and apply what they’ve learned through facilitated activities, discussion and practical exercises. The result is a connected learning experience where each element has a clear purpose and classroom time is used to deepen understanding rather than repeat content.

PowerPoint Learning and Presentation Design

I create polished, practical PowerPoint learning materials, complete with trainer notes and a separate trainer guide, for businesses that need professional training without the cost of a full e-learning build.From interactive presentations and facilitator decks to learner resources and visual aids, I design slides that are easy to use, visually consistent, built around the learning goal and to client design specifications.
